Getting to East Africa
International airlines fly into Zanzibar these days, some directly, and many through their regional hubs. Qatar, FlyDubai, Oman Air have a great worldwide network, Turkish, South Africa Airways and Kenya Airways have excellent European connections.
From North America, there are many options depending on your allegiance. Delta partners with KLM and Kenya Airways through Amsterdam and Nairobi (Kenya), United and Air Canada are part of Star Alliance, and connect through either Johannesburg (South Africa) or Istanbul.
From Nairobi there are also several flights a day on Precision Air.

Getting around
Many airlines fly to Dar-es-Salaam, on the coast of Tanzania, and Zanzibar is a 25-minute flight away, Mafia 30-minutes, and Pemba an hour, with a quick stop in Zanzibar. Dar-es-Salaam is also the gateway for fly-in safaris to Selous Game Reserve, Ruaha National Park, and Katavi National Park. We woek with local airline companies that operate fleets of small aircraft and connect all the islands and safari destinations.
